Test it yourself! I can't believe how badly it tested as even compared to the stock HP antenna and many other cheap Radio Shack antennas. WebMy absolute favorite is the Diamond SRH77CA for radios using SMA connections like Yaesu or the Diamond SRJ77CA for reverse SMA connections like Baofeng. WebJul 9, 2024 · The Diamond SRH77CA was the best performing antenna in send and receive, though we ran out of S units for receive. I also replaced my Alinco DJ-G7T rubber duck with a Diamond SRH815S. This showed no increase in performance. This was really odd to me. I will throw in a future question. WebJul 19, 2024 · The 77CA is the best for 70cm, but the 320A is a very close second on 70cm and definitely beats the 77CA on 2m and 1.25m. I encourage you to compare the two antennas on VHF. Over many years I have always used the Diamond RH77CA (BNC equivalent) antenna for anything other than 700-800MHz. It performs awesome on VHF and pretty well on UHF.
