Prooftint
WebProoftint is a unique, fast-drying, spirit-based stain that allows the full clarity of the timber grain to show through after staining. WebProoftint stains are concentrated and available in small bottles so stir in the tint gradually with a peice of timber so you know how dark its going. A cedar fireplace surround maker told me to use one small bottle Prooftint (50ml) with each litre tin of Cetol. For the really big tins of Cetol I use the bigger bottles or a tin of Prooftint.
